ABOUT THE ARTWORK

KOONANA - A DANGEROUS ART#2 (Part of the series A DANGEROUS MONKEY) * 100x100cm - Acrylic and oil on canvas - 2020 High quality eucalyptus chassis Variation of the original "Koonana", where I explore new color possibilities in my humorous critique of the famous - and often enigmatic - "world of Art". I cannot contain my joy during this process. I say that I like the "Koonanas" so much that I nicknamed them "COOLnana". As I perform more and more challenging works like this, I am able to sharpen my painting technique and better understand the light effects that form the illusion of the shiny metallic finish. I also highlight that the sides are white, reinforcing my commitment not only with aesthetics, but also with finishing patterns that show my concern in delivering nothing less than the best. When I manage to transpose my vision to the screen through works like this, I feel very fulfilled. It is to be thought that although I was somewhat acid in the elaboration of this series, I gradually dissolve this acidity in the colors and I feel more at peace with myself, something that I consider fundamental to continue not only a successful career, but also a full life. I think my photo next to the work illustrates my mood at the moment! COOLnana hugs and kisses to the happy future owner! =)
