Dashavatar Bharateeya Sanskriti (Hindhu culture) believe in four Yugas Krita, Treta, Dvaparayuga and Kali (present) Yugas said to be cycling one after other and dynamically moving. Lord Vishnu is said to have his dasha (ten) Avatars (reincarnations) for Dharmasamsthapana in other words to reinstall order and peace throughout these yugas. The order of these Avataras starts from Matsya Avatar (a great fish), Kurma Avatar (a great tortoise), Varaha Avatar (a great wild boar), Narasimha Avatar (lion headed god), Vamana Avatar (dwarf brahmin kid), Parashurama Avatar (angry brahmin with axe), Rama, Balarama, Krishna, Kalki. By the concept of Dashavatara is there any code that is passed through the generations? Can one recognize a pattern in the Avatar system that is in a gradation? Basically Avatar concept was propagated by Ramanujaacharya and later further developed through nation with varieties of visual and verbal representations. Herein Mysore painting tradition is followed based on the images of Vishnunidhi (mid-19th century text patronized by Krishnaraja Wodeyar III) Mysore traditional painting Mysore traditional painting develloped in mysore state after the collapsed vijayanagara samraja . mysore wodeyars supported to develop the mysore traditional style painting.
