About The Artwork

This oil painting is not a landscape in a traditional way. It’s more of a personal perception of Kata Tjuṯa - the area of dome rock formations situated at Northern Territory, Australia. While traveling, I've made several plein-air paintings, working at the desert and getting the sense of the space. Upon my return I created a single semi-abstract painting, which meant to be a quintessence of the place.
