ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I was inspired by the energies, sounds, and fragrances of incense, prayer calls, and the vibes of the Himalayas in May. I painted quite a few works on a rooftop in Thamel, near Durbar Square Hindu Temples in the ancient city valley of Khatmandu. In between exploring the fascinating city I fell in love with. I also spent time with children on the street, watching them paint. As I do not have a mental image or a goal when I start painting, I only tune into my inner space and emotions, and to the music, I play in the background and allow the feelings, intuition, and spontaneity to take over. Acrylics on paper in Passepartout, without a frame.
