Katikati Dream Painting

This painting was inspired by an old friend I visited... we talked about art and she flicked through her photos as if tempting me to ask her if I could paint them. I knew that her photo alone might need a little booster... and turning it into a painting would definitely get attention. I am a sunset painter from way back... and have been selling my art for many years previously, usually creating my own work be it traveling to get references or making paintings up. I'd hope people will see the lighter side of this painting... and enjoy it's esthetics and light humour between friends as almost like a dare to try painting from her collection of photos... as she attempted to get me back into my art career. I enjoy acrylic painting as a medium. I feel there is a tangible quality to painting on canvas which photography lacks although I own a very good camera myself.
