About The Artwork

This artwork was created using acrylic paints, gesso, gloss varnish for sheen, and protection, on a Canson Mixed Media Artboard. 'Kayak Country' emerged from my need to pull away from the past and venture into the future without limitations, constraints, or restrictions. That's something we can all relate to. The brush strokes and scraping created by tools and a palette knife can be viewed as a tug of internal resistance. It is unique and intriguing to me and my hope is it will have the same appeal to the viewer. It does NOT come framed unless requested by the buyer. It is signed, dated, and titled on the back. and is NOT signed on frond because it can go in the direction that is pictured or the reverse position. You may request the signature. As it is an Artboard, it is flat (a very heavy paper board stock and doesn't come with wire or hardware. A mat and frame are recommended. Feel free to inquire at gbinspire@gmail.com if you are unable to reach a Saatchi Art curator about this or any of my artwork. Thank you for stopping by. I hope to see you again with more posting. Regards, Gina Battle Artist

I am an abstract expressionist artist. I paint from raw emotion and release every ounce of my spirit into my creative endeavors. I studied Theater Arts and Design in New York. Painting is a medium that came to me later in my life. I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to express myself through abstraction. It's a delicious treat... sometimes decadent. I love the challenges that are presented as I contemplate new ideas, implement my thoughts and watch them become a reality. in addition, I love listening to guests who visit my studio and purchase my art. Thanks to my clients and collectors - both national and international I was able to fundraise for the Charlotte Arts & Humanities Council of Charlotte County (Florida). It was wonderful to be able to dance and paint for such a great cause and to celebrate the arts community through scholarships for students.
