About The Artwork

The Kaaba(The Holy Kaaba) is a building at the center of Islam's most sacred mosque, Al-Masjid al-Haram, in Mecca, al-Hejaz, Saudi Arabia. It is the most sacred site in Islam. Muslims are expected to face the Kaaba when performing salat (prayer). From any point in the world, the direction facing the Kaaba is called the qibla. The sanctuary around the Kaaba is called Al-Masjid al-Haram. The Kaaba is a stone cube structure made of granite. The Kaaba is approximately 13.1 m (43 ft) high (some claim 12.03 m (39.5 ft)), with sides measuring 11.03 m (36.2 ft) by 12.86 m (42.2 ft). Inside the Kaaba, the floor is made of marble and limestone. The interior walls, measuring 13 m (43 ft) by 9 m (30 ft), are clad with tiled, white marble halfway to the roof, with darker trimmings along the floor. The floor of the interior stands about 2.2 m (7.2 ft) above the ground area where tawaf is performed. Painting medium- Acrylic on streached canvas. Circular strokes are in motion to depict the movement of people around The Holy Kaaba.

Hi, I am Namra. I was born in Muzaffar Nagar a small town of India. In my childhood I was very fond of making sketches on walls and papers. Surprisingly in my school studies Drawing was not a subject. I got this talent my parents. I got married in very younger age of twenties and became a house wife in Delhi. I completed my Graduation and Masters after my marriage with support of my husband. During this tenure we were blessed with two sons, elder son is 8 years and younger son is 5 years . I was enjoying my life with usual daily routines with no time left to do something different. But my conscience compelled me to do the something dissimilar. My mind was exploring inner self with different ideas like cooking, fashion designing, make up etc. These ideas were excluding my God Gift of Calligraphy and Art. It had nothing to do with my educational qualifications. I did my Graduation in Commerce and Masters in Human resource. My family responsibilities did not allow me to do some outside jobs. It was the time of COVID-19 and lockdown. A totally different world for all earthling. A different timing for all daily routine works and left with some spare time to explore something. This was the time I was searching for many years and time to unlock my internal God Gift passion to paint on Canvas. I picked my brush with some colours available at home and started to paint on Canvas a grand mosque Masjid e Nabwi in Madinah ,my first art work.
