About The Artwork

"Killing with kindness" was made on a 120x150 cm canvas (380 gsm cotton) with a mixed technique of watercolor and acrylic paints and ducat double gold 23 carat. The artist has depicted here a "Zwieselwuchs", which is a special form of stem growth on trees. This is colloquially called "Zwiesel". Here the tree forms its trunk no longer from one, but from two or more shoots. The reasons why trees form a twig vary greatly. Injuries in the youth, hereditary factors, wind breakage are only some examples. The lettering "Killing with kindness" bordered with gold leaf (ducat double gold 23 carat) extends over the entire painting. Being kind costs nothing and makes the world a better place. Not getting carried away by the energy of a bad-tempered counterpart and responding with kindness shows strength and often works wonders. As in the case of the depicted "Zwiesel", which comes from a unity, through kindness, goodness and loving-kindness, the thinking of separateness can be lifted and positive things can be brought about in this world. A tree slice with its annual rings represents a natural mandala, which is also the symbolic representation of the universe. Each work of art by the artist is unique.
