About The Artwork
The artwork is a travesty of the fragment "The Taking of Christ" created by Michelangelo Merisi da Caravaggio in 1602. All the attention in the process of creation was focused on illustrateing the inherent role of human body language in our life. By making hands of Jesus and face of Judas very illuminated, I tried to show the most important feelings which may be expressed only by the earliest technique of human communication, which stays for me inexhaustible source of inspiration.
