About The Artwork
This painting is an abstract landscape which reminds of nature and water. In nature you can easily calm down, reflect over your dreams and worries. For me this special work shows the beauty and energy of nature. I started out by doing the blue and turquoise background which reminded me a lot of water and its reflections. Later on I started putting in some pink and red spots on the canvas, not being sure what the final result will be. Only in the end I saw some koi fishes in the painting and decided to accentuate them with the white, which also lead to its name. For me, this painting is a beauty, because it shows the energy and calmness of nature at the same time.

Sabine Kay is an abstract artist, born 1964 in Hamburg, Germany, and now living in Luxembourg. She has always had a passion for art, but rediscovered this only some years ago. And now, with the kids getting older, she is moving into a new phase of her life: an art-life. In the beginning she worked realistic, but over the years she learned that in abstract art she could better express herself. While painting she is building the oil colours layer upon layer with a colour palette ranging from soft and serene to vibrant and invigorating.
