L'Estampe Moderne Painting

Painting made with mixed media and copper leaf on 100% cotton paper, in Art Nouveau style. Year: 2024. Dimensions: 26x36 cm. The painting is inspired by the painting of Alfons Mucha and his female figures which always have a fundamental importance in his art. In particular, this painting reproduces the cover of L'Estampe Moderne from 1897. L'Estampe Moderne was a French monthly publication published between May 1897 and April 1899 which offered four original lithographs with each magazine. L'Estampe moderni aimed to offer a wider audience access to the engraving market. The headquarters of the magazine was located in Paris on Boulevard Saint-Michel and the selected artists were not only of French nationality. The cover design was entrusted to Alfons Mucha. The painting is hand-signed on the front, comes with a certificate of authenticity and is sold without frame.
