After the artist had finished a series of 50 very detailed, realistic oil paintings for the time being, she now devotes herself to the study of forms. With harmonious color compositions and creative combinations of geometric elements and textile patterns, Tanja Hirschfeld creates oil paintings that tell of longing. In turbulent times of rapid technological development and a politically unstable future, Hirschfeld's new series consciously responds to the current world situation with clarity and order. With the inner need for minimalism and manual, meditative work, she creates motifs that are intended to be reminiscent of divination cards. In doing so, she refers to the fact that in times of turmoil, society increasingly turns to religion and esotericism in order to find support there. The works have titles such as "Queen of Growth", "Woman of Wings", "Ace of Sticks". For example, we recognize an Elvis-like figure in a kimono-like robe, casually holding a cigarette in the corner of his mouth, or a couple with the title "Per Semper", which seems bound together forever by robes. Examples of the longing themes of freedom and security.
