About the Artist

Francois Michel Beausoleil

United States

I am François Michel Beausoleil, a contemporary artist based in San Diego, California.

My work explores the connections between humanity, memory, perception, and the universe. Inspired by concepts such as the Holographic Universe and Indra's Net, I create paintings that invite viewers to reflect on the idea that each part may contain the essence of the whole.

I work primarily with resin, acrylic, and oil paint, building layered compositions that create depth, texture, and a three-dimensional effect. I often incorporate Swarovski crystals, glitter, gold leaf, pearls, and semi-precious stones, allowing each piece to interact with light and reveal new details from different perspectives.

The layering process is central to my practice. Each layer represents experiences, emotions, and moments that shape our understanding of ourselves and the world around us. Through transparency, reflection, and texture, I seek to create works that reward close observation and encourage contemplation.

My paintings are held in private collections, and I have created commissioned works for collectors and spaces around the world. Whether abstract or conceptual, my goal is to create art that inspires curiosity, connection, and a deeper awareness of our shared human experience.
