ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This oil painting depicts the 'Sainte-Victoire' mountain in Provence. This place became world famous after Cézanne made more than 80 oil paintings of this mountain. A path bordered by pine trees and lavender bushes, leads the eye to the foot of the mountain which stands out against the yellow sky. This colorful oil was painted from watercolor studies made in situ near 'le Tholonet', a small village where Cézanne had his studio. This work is framed with a nice white wooden frame (see the last photo) and ready to hang. Dimensions without the frame: 46x38 cm
