La Séparation Painting

I have always loved art work and believe that good art should instigate questions and inspire feelings and emotions. I never dreamed of being an artist one day. It just happened to me at the age of 54 as what I would consider a God-given gift. It started with an urge to draw but escalated into passion. From November 2017 to date, I have painted some 100 works. At first, I started with some naive art. But my interest lies primarily in contemporary art. My medium of expression is predominantly acrylic and oil on canvas. Working on the canvas with my hands is like walking bare feet on the sand in a dream. And, when you wake up you just find your dream on your canvas. Whether using only my hands or a rainbow of techniques, I experience a feeling of great freedom as the tireless creator within me brings to liberty the shapes and figures that I feel are trapped within the canvas. In fact, when I paint I can control the process only to a certain point, above which, the process itself takes over. Each painting fills me with an incredible sense of fulfillment, the feeling of having accomplished something unique, a beautiful creation to admire and to inspire. As time goes by, my creations convince me that the gift within me is being perfected...
