«Quand il me prend dans ses bras Il me parle tout bas Je vois la vie en rose» La Vie en Rose was the signature song of popular French singer Édith Piaf, written in 1945. It is the song that made Piaf internationally famous, with its lyrics telling about the joy of finding true love and appealing to those who had survived the difficult wartime. I am really touched by this singer and this song, her passion for life, love and Paris and I want this painting to express these the strong emotions and feelings. I use pigments on canvas and finish with gloss varnish.
