A tribute to John Singer Sargent, "Lady Agnew Revisit", a study of the famous portrait painting, Lady Agnew of Lochnaw that is on public view at the Scottish National Gallery in Edinburgh, Scotland. The original painting was commissions in 1892. Painting is signed in oil in the corner and at the back. Painting comes with frame shown in the last image. I paint on fine 'Oil primed Linen' made in Florence Italy (not on canvas) only in Windsor & Newton paints, medium and varnish, making my paintings extremely fine. The materials used in the painting are best in class, make it a collectible, made to last for decades (and perhaps centuries) to come.

I transitioned from a business management background to painting in 2018. I began with learning the fundamentals of drawing and painting from artists working in the Western Classical realm, also known as Realism, in Florence Italy and with other artists in different parts of Europe. Having spent a few years studying traditional forms of drawing, color theory, painting and composition design, which I continue to intensively study and practice, I am now working from my studio in devising my own methods, and using the education I am gaining in traditional foundations to move in a contemporary direction. While my art education has its foundation in Western art, I aspire to combine the nuances of being Indian - our culture, Indian art history, painting styles, materials and motifs into my work and am working on consistently exposing myself to the works of both Indian masters and contemporary Indian artists.
