I find my work to be in a constant state of flux. Process and medium merge to express the phenomenological and experiential aspects of painting rooted in both lived experience and the imagination. Some works are more restless while others find moments of tranquility. All reflect episodic moments in time.

Sensations are referenced, sensations brought about by both the smaller and the larger revelations, perceptions, oscillations, and then translated in a rigorous, yet instinctive manner, formally responding to both the experience of place and the act of mark making as each are considered.

The work references the structures of our daily lives, reflecting the whole and its brokenness, what works and what fails us. The messiness of life and process collide to create a visual language that continues to develop over time and through experience and, hopefully, eventually impresses an impact on contemporary culture.
