GAYANE ZAKYAN “Gayane Zakyan's influential journey has illuminated the global art scene with a career dating back to the late ‘80s and her influence continues to shine brightly thus far. Her artworks, a fusion of vibrant colors and profound meaning, transforms the world into a grand theater. Notably, Gayane Zakyan received the Grand Prix at the juried exhibition “Stop Violence Against Women” by IWC Charities Interest Group and the US Embassy in Moscow for the artwork “Rebirth.” This underscores her dedication to addressing societal issues through art. In 1998, Gayane Zakyan was honored with the Commemorative Gold Medal from the Women’s International Democratic Federation (WIDF), emphasizing her commitment to social and gender equality through their art. Additionally, she became a member of the Artists’ Union of Armenia in 1989 and joined the Creative Union of Artists of Russia, affiliated with the International Federation of Artists UNESCO, in 1996. Gayane Zakyan’s work has graced galleries, museums, and collections worldwide, bridging cultures and generations. Her art invites us to see life as a grand theater, where every moment is a masterpiece waiting to be painted.” Art curator Colette Reynaud Gayane Zakyan’s artworks are in private collections in Armenia, Russia, USA, Mexico, Peru, Japan, China, India, Germany, England, France, Norway, and Sweden. Awards & Honours 1998 — Grand Prix of the juried exhibition “Stop Violence Against Women” bestowed by IWC Charities Interest Group and US Embassy in Moscow on picture “Rebirth”. 1998 — Commemorative gold medal of the Women’s International Democratic Federation (WIDF) 1999 — The guest of honor at the concert of “Female Factory” troupe in Moscow as recognition of considerable contribution to the Amnesty International’s “Stop violence Against Women” campaign. Concert’s patron, Netherlands embassy in Moscow, presented the troupers T-shirts with the print of painting “Rebirth” Professional membership 1989 — Member of Artists’ Union of Armenia 1996 — Member of the Creative Union of Artists of Russia / International Federation of Artists UNESCO
