About The Artwork

Humanity exists in a world of both organic and artificially created objects. Everything we touch touches us. In the endless rush of everyday life, we lose touch with simplicity and lose the ability to appreciate and cherish simple things. We often hear that humans influence our planet. Do we think meaningfully about these words? Do we associate ourselves with nature as a whole? How do we perceive nature? We look at it all our lives, but do we really notice it? We are so accustomed to separating ourselves and nature that we have completely forgotten that we are part of it. Through the series “imprints” I am trying to comprehend the understanding of these issues and processes occurring in the world. In my works, fragments of landscapes and natural objects are magnified into abstract color spots. Refusing precise forms, they immerse us in reflection, analysis of life inside and around us, forming a balance between the sensual and the familiar. In my art, I create an effect similar to the experience of meditative practices: narrowing the focus to one point, dissolving the boundaries between objects, blurring the contours, immersing me in the fusion of colors and forming absolute unity.

I am an artist from Vienna,Austria I graduated from the State Academy of Design and Arts in Kharkov (Ukraine) with a degree in industrial design in 2000. Since then, I collaborated with ELLE-Ukraine magazine, making illustrations for their articles, worked for the advertising industry and had joint projects with various Ukrainian fashion designers.Currently, I actively participate in group exhibitions and various art projects. In my work I use transformation as a strategy. Fictional life blends with reality, and they invariably begin to influence each other. In this way my paintings reflect a fascinating and dynamic process of creating the transition of the present day into a new and mutable reality. Images imprinted in the altered, moving space of memory reveal their transformative nature.. Through the paths of the halted moment of change I expose the intimacy and sincerity of transformation. I work with abstract and figurative art, it helps me to create a visual representation of my conceptual needs as well as to blur the lines between the fictitious and the literal, the familiar and the abstract, the absurd and the serious, thus trying on the opposites.
