The painting's inspiration came from a winter walk near the sea, leading to an adventure of losing and finding apartment keys in the forest, which imbued the artwork with positive emotions and a personal story. However, the onset of military actions by Russia against Ukraine significantly altered the painting's emotional tone, introducing a contrast between happiness and anger, reflecting the artist's internal conflict and the impact of external geopolitical events. This artwork communicates with viewers independently of the backstory, offering additional layers of meaning for those aware of the circumstances behind its creation. The artist opposes the formalization of concepts in art and contemporary exhibitions, believing that if an artwork professionally conveys the artist's idea, it requires no further explanation, standing as a self-sufficient visual narrative.

Ansis Rozentāls employs classical painting as the primary element of his creative practice. He views painting as the purest form of expression and the foundation of all art. His objective is to create artworks where painting intersects with contemporary, technological elements such as LED lights, smart films, and the mist from humidifiers. This approach aims to attract attention from various generations—both admirers of classical painting and enthusiasts of contemporary art and modern technologies—hoping that every viewer will find something personal and intriguing. Thematically, Rozentāls utilizes nature and metaphysical primary elements—earth, water, fire, air, ether—in his works, allowing for a broad spectrum of visual interpretations. One of his main goals is to encourage viewers to reflect on the environment and the structure of the world, helping each person find answers to questions that seem important. His idea of the symbiosis between classical painting and modern technologies marks a new way of combining painting with new media. By employing the fundamental principles of expanded painting connected with the capabilities of new technologies, he finds ways to broaden perspectives on painting as a whole. Within the framework of his practical doctoral studies, Rozentāls compiles and analyzes his knowledge and skills using research methods, primarily through practice-based studies. He actively participates in group exhibitions and their organization and develops his technological knowledge. In early 2022, he opened a solo exhibition "metaELEMENT" in Liepāja, participated in several international projects and creative workshops. Parallel to his research and creative work, he engages in various artistic events, assisting in organizing exhibitions and creating scenography, and working in advertising and the film industry.
