ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Lantana is a type of flowering plant that grows in my backyard and attracts butterflies, bees, hummingbirds, and, apparently, ants. This is a painting on a birch panel reinforced with basswood. It features of a single bloom on my plant which is called the "Pink Lemonade" variety. Nature can be beautiful on a cosmic scale, the microscopic scale, and every view in between.
