LAURA'S Bedroom Painting

My passion for drawing and painting was where it all began. And though I had dreamed of life as an artist, fate took me down a different yet creative path. I recently retired from a successful career as an Art Director designing sets for television and film. My background as a designer has provided me the opportunity to travel to different locales and architectural interiors as well as affording me an invaluable window into the lives as others, in a world I might not have ever experienced on my own.This is not to say that I don't gravitate to creating a beautiful seaside sunset, a dramatic cloud filled sky or perhaps the electricity in the lights of speeding cars at magic hour. I almost always work from my own photographs. I hope there may be something that speaks to you in this small sampling of my work.
