ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This work captures the simple joy of waking up in a comfy bed to a view of the sunny countryside glimpsed through an open window. The room is in my parents' home in the South West of France, and was the one I occupied for much of my teenage years. I still stay there when I visit, and love the way that my mother decorates the house with whatever wild plants and grasses she finds in the neighbouring fields.
