This is pure joy of creation. I came to the point in dealing with wood and gold & silver leaves where the subject is not important. It's a play, it's a joy and enchantement. If you have never faced a golden surface bigger than you, you should try it - it iluminates everything inside-out. As a former interior designer I know it works miracles at interiors - everything looks brighter & happier (we're talking of gold used with a good taste of course); and I believe even people around look better - light makes miracles with any complexion. And most importantly - it really gives a joy, so naturally everything seems better. I planned multipanelled golden artwork not only becouse it's easier to transport, but also becouse the "splash" traveling from one panel to another gives this feeling of playfulness. I left first splash unfilled, couse I love natural wood and I love the clash of wood and gold surface - one is still, the other changes with light; one is creation of nature, other is man-made; one have a distinctive pattern, other is rather even. Second splash is filled with silver to give even more play - like a quicksilver that jumped from the now empty place to another and out of sight. ... Small technical flaws are welcome in my works, as matherial perfection I leave to manufacturing. At closer look you can see uneven surface of wood beneathgold and sometimes gaps in schlagmetal leaves. It does not disturb the harmony of the whole object however, and I see it as a additional value of my personal touch. First panel (right) was made at the turn of 2021 and 2022, second (middle) at the beginnig of 2023 and third one is just finished (June of 2023) - you can see it in a gold structure, as it changes overtime, witch i love too. Within months, I expect all panels to look like a right one. BOOKED for an exhibition at Galeria Stalowa in Warsaw in August 2024.

Most of the highly celebrated art is about discovering new or commenting on current pressing matters, but my art is about simple everyday willingness to live. I paint because this gives me purpose and joy – it’s like humming nice song for a hundredth time, even thou there were many covers before; preparing favorite drink for a friend and myself, to enjoy it again in a new glass perhaps; dressing up for no occasion, just to look and feel good; caressing a lover… I wish it was the same for recipients of my art – everyday pleasure in experiencing it. Like a book that you red many times, yet you still reach for it; dish that you always order in that place that is there forever... Repeatable, often classic topics; favorite color palette; small and big things that makes us want to live, even thou world can be such an ugly place. I want my art to make it better - even for a moment, even in a tiny way. I want it to remind myself and others that it's worth to try everyday...
