ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Between 2013 and 2017, I was creating a series of paintings named "Trees never die". The subjects are trees that I saw in the saline of St. Barth. These trees appear like dead, undressed and helpless to move. However, they touched me with their elegance, grace and refinement. I sensed their desire to live, so I revived them, in another form, in the world of surreality, to be different, to be immortal. The Series "Life after Life (I-III)" was exposed at the Art Capital 2013 in the Grand Palais Paris.

After teaching six years Piano at the Music School "Pejo Yavorov" Sofia, Irène Mueller accepted engagements as Pianist in Austria, Germany and Switzerland. Amongst others, Irène was the house pianist of Montreux Palace Hotel at the annual Montreux Jazz Festivals, she entertained guests at the World Economic Forum in Davos and gave Piano Concerts in many other high profile events. Parallel to the music engagements she painted regularly for her own pleasure. Irène discovered painting as her space of complementary personal development. The dialogue between painting and music began in her childhood and became her passion and lifestyle. Irène's paintings have been presented in various exhibitions in Switzerland and abroad. Her works are held in private collections in Italy, Bulgaria, Russia, France, Switzerland and Canada. Presentation of Irène Mueller’s Artworks and its Market Value (Quotations for Paintings) are presented (page 980) in the latest Encyclopedia “Atlante dell’Arte Contemporanea” issued by De Agostini in 2019. The Encyclopedia is kept in the permanent Library and Archive of the Biennale di Venzia, Italy (ISBN 978-88-51149963).
