"Life is But a Dream" Painting

These watercolours are the result of hours of complete freedom. The materials; watercolours, water and movement. Naturally using a patient and extraordinary beautiful paper, Arches. What this paper endured with stoicism were real color tides. Each time I created a watercolour I asked for forgiveness and each time the paper dried out showing, in the end, its velvety skin I thanked it for the miracle. The image is framed under a white 34 x 43 passepartout. When I create an image with this technique y need my left brain hemisphere as passive as possible. Reason and its control cut my wings. I have been flying with this collection. It is my left brain hemisphere who is writing now, he is responsible for verbal and written language, but not for artistic expression. I have nothing against it, it is the hemisphere that allows me to think rationally. But my watercolours are entirely created by my right “brain”, and it has been, yes, absolutely “incoloured”, drunk with colour, high with colours, pure blues, greens and reds, in a trip of which it has not yet recovered. I was there, of course, but it was my right brain that took every decision, like a madman. I grant “him” the absolute authorship.
