Delicate morning light filters through the trees and illuminates this lily pond. This painting was inspired by the pond at the Norton Simon impressionism museum in Pasadena, California. The brush strokes are loose and expressive, a tribute to the great impressionists of the past. This painting was created on 1-1/2"-deep canvas, with the painting continued around the sides of the canvas. It has been framed in a hand-carved and gilded floater frame.
