Lilies nº8 Painting

This botanical painting is part of "Lilies" collection whitch includes several artworks on paper and on canvas. I made this studies on the spring of 2021. For about two months, I use to walk to the street market on Friday mornings and buy a bouquet of lilies. I'll bring it to the studio latter and work with it during the week. I'll miss the smell of the studio from this past months. The theme of this artworks are: Lilies. Great part of my inspiration cames from nature and with this body of work I wanted to focus on the shapes of this flower. Playing with the colors and different mediums in a free and intuitive way was the key of this collection. The result of this studie is an expressionist botanical painting.
