"Limonchiki" Painting

Hi everybody! I am Şenol Özdemir (aka Senorizm) and as though I was born in Germany, I am living in Bursa, Türkiye nowadays. I finished Anadolu University, Education Faculty Art Department once upon a time... Meanwhile, I prefer called myself especially as a Painter, not an Artist; because I just paint! In early years I worked on fantastic illustrations in dijital media. Because it was the easy way, to me, creating something with layers instead of doing brushwork on the canvas. After I cheated myself a very long time, I returned into Real Art and I started from the first step: classic still life subjets. In my works, I very deeply inspired by nature, natural rustic old items, ruined mystical places. So I am feeding from real wold and my imagination. I like working on classical realism, thus the light is most important element in my oil paintings. My studio takes North light, so I always work all day in the natural light condition. I never work in the nights with artificial light, except if I designing new ideas, drawing sketches or making conceptual coloring doodles in PS with Wacom. I am heavily influenced from Rembrandt, the master of chiaroscure. I love using dramatic light and shadow transitions and textures, so I prefer working with extralong bristle brushes besides that I use palette knife and if necessary I use my fingers even nails, too. In the last decade, I joined some art fairs in İstanbul and Ankara. That kind activities take to much time and effort and not suit to a hermit kind person like of me, so I decided to collabrate with Saatchiart web site. Thus I can share my creations to all over the wold.
