Painting: Acrylic, Oil and Charcoal on Canvas

I really wanted to make this painting about what the Earth looks like from above. Where you notice the shapes of the forests next to the empty fields and homesteads.

This is a stretched canvas ready to hang.

The cool thing is you can hang this either vertical or horizontal. And there are wires for either direction attached.

Part of the Shapes and Shadows Collection.

As a minimalist artist, I find inspiration in capturing the essence of Earth's organic elements through silhouettes and simplified shapes. I celebrate the inherent beauty of rock formations, flowers, and water, blending well-defined shapes with expansive negative spaces to create intriguing compositions. ~~ Bio Laura Welshans is a multi-media abstract artist residing in Little Rock, Arkansas.
