Artist's Statement "If I were to define my style of painting, I would call it 'Textured abstract art‘ The abstract expressionist Mark Rothko had the opinion "that a painting must be something miraculous‘'. In this sense I love to present the viewer an image that is the start of a journey with his eyes. The viewer should be able to discover the canvas to see the details and create his own story." The aspiring artist Sebastian Weber was born 1985 in Siegen, Germany. With his very unique three dimensional contemporary style he starts to show himself to an international audience through social media, which made his first exhibition in the heart of Hamburg came through. In addition some of his artworks can be purchased at a Gallery in Germany (Galerie Niza, Meiningen). Mainly Weber works with a surface from different structure pastes, acrylics and spray paint to create the soft color transitions. To the canvas, the pastes and colors are applied with different tools like palette knifes, brushes or window pullers. His style is playing with light and shadow, a mix of natural colors and floating surfaces. His forms appear and disappear and merge into each other. He loves to allow the colors to flow and give the images different metallic textures to create ups and downs. Be a part of his abstract and unique journey, influenced by the creation around him.
