A quiet and tranquil panoramic abstract landscape, lots of layers of stoney grey, light grey, little white, very little blue and pitch-black ink. You can see a landscape, you can see moonlight, clouds or waves... or some abstract forms. For me it resembles the area where I live (Lippe) at night. While painting, I have been interested in the structures that emerge when painting with lots of liquids, the beauty of small traces found in nature everywhere when you look closely. The grey is a non-color, but recently I have been really fascinated with its beauty and the varieties it offers. As these are difficult times I feel like painting in grey quite often. But there is always hope in the future and so you can see some light. If you want a floating frame, ask me. Black, white, grey or silver frames look great. The painting is painted on the sides, so there is no need to frame. 20x50 cm on stretched canvas. Semi-matte varnished. Ready to hang with hook at the back. Signed on the back. Colors may vary on different monitors. (c) Gesa Reuter 2017

Germany
Based in Germany, Gesa Reuter’s artistic practice started in 1996. She has since studied the techniques of the old Dutch masters, layering selfmade gouache, egg tempera and sometimes oil to build her paintings with different layers of paint from thin to thick. Recently she has discovered the power of watercolours and ink in her work, enjoying the way the watery materials leave marks and traces to describe her inner feelings and emotions. Rather than painting an accurate visual representation of a landscape, she prefers to use the power of memory; her artworks are an expression of her feelings and emotions in the moment of experiencing the landscape." (Inside Artists, Issue 9, Summer 2017) So far, her works have been exhibited in Germany and Europe, mainly sold to private collectors in Germany, U.S.A., UK, NL, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, to architects, small companies, private medical and psychological practices. In public collection of Amateras Foundation, Bulgaria, NHS England and Kunsthaus Stove, Germany.
