Little Miss Sunshine Painting

I am a self-taught artist who loves to create using mixed media. I am a survivor of post-partum depression and I am still fighting the scars from that time. When I gave birth to my son and could clearly see that I am sinking I turned to my family, friends and doctors for help. None of them acknowledged or recognised the issue. That forced me to explore other areas of therapy and crafting/painting was one of them. Even today I find myself face-to-face with those demons if I do not spend some time in my studio. To sum it up, my creating process is my sanity. I love abstract and contemporary styles of art and therefore have been exploring them over the past few months. You will often find a lot of my work has texture , floral elements and organic marks. I like to move her hand over the artwork and feel the depth of it. I hope my customers would enjoy the visceral nature of it too. Layers and layers of built up colour is what fascinates me. My artworks are majorly done in acrylic mediums but I do use other mediums like inks, molding paste, charcoal, oil pastels, etc. in my underlying layers. Bright and vibrant colours make me happy and therefore I tend to pick them up often.
