Born, bred and resident in South London, Henry has been drawing and painting since childhood. However the excitement of being a teenager in London during the punk era and an esoteric approach to educational participation, a series of menial jobs, and an eventual return to education and then early career in the media, plus the demands of a young family, has meant that Henry's commitment for painting remained largely untapped until his early 30s. Since that time, Henry has juggled the demands of a senior career in the UK's bourgeoning digital industry with a serious and ongoing commitment to developing as an artist. Henry's formal art education at Putney Art School and the Heatherly School of Fine Art in Chelsea, has been complemented by an insatiable appetite to practice, learn and improve. In recent years this commitment, helped by the establishment of his South London studio, has seen him develop an individual and recognisable style, Increasingly drawn towards still life and interiors, Henry's work brings together a dynamic blend of movement, energy, colour and light to give a very contemporary edge to traditional subjects. Henry's art history inspiration and references come from sources as diverse as the Dutch and Flemish masters, Chardin, the impressionists, Bonnard and more recent contemporary British artists such as Matthew Smith and Peter Doig,
