ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Around forty five minutes drive from my door step in Glasgow, Scotland is the beautiful and expansive National Park known as Loch Lomond and Trossachs. The body of water is the largest in Britain and the scenery is breathtaking. I'm a frequent visitor to the area. A train line runs along the loch for a few miles and I have included the train breaking through the heavy foliage in my painting. Painted in acrylics on canvas board and finished in satin varnish.

I am a Glaswegian artist painting mostly land, sea and cityscape scenes. I work in various mediums but mostly acrylic and watercolour where I try to capture my home town's beautiful architecture under typical moody skies and indeed carry on this approach with my Scottish sea/landscapes where I paint the Scotland I see and feel. I also love to travel around Europe and so I paint where I have visited and hope that my paintings connect with the viewer in the same way the vistas connect with me.
