I take my inspiration from the landscape of North East Scotland - not only its mountains, glens, and dramatic coastline but also the smaller, intimate views that you find in its many quiet highways and byways.I work mainly in pastel, but for more abstract and imaginary themes I like to exploit the luminous qualities of encaustic wax.
