ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Original acrylic and ink painting ‘Lofoten Islands, Norway’. Lofoten is known for a distinctive scenery with dramatic mountains and peaks, open sea and sheltered bays, beaches and untouched lands. Though lying within the Arctic Circle, the archipelago experiences one of the world’s largest elevated temperature anomalies relative to its high latitude. Featured is the picturesque fishing village of Reine, located on the island of Moskenesøya in the Lofoten archipelago. Created on specialist acrylic paper, this 39 x 29cm paint and ink study is presented in a slim black 60 x 50cm aluminium frame and a generous white mount to show off its depth of colour. My paintings are packed in a strong telescopic box made for framed artworks. It's protected inside with tissue paper, eco bubble wrap and void filling brown paper.
