Hello! Thank you for visiting my store. My name is Alukera. I was born in Samara, in a city located on the banks of the great Russian river, the Volga. The genius of the place predetermined my future destiny. Having chosen education for myself - a water supply engineer, I studied water for most of my life: its composition, laws of motion, its possible states. Having pushed away from the clear lines of construction drawings, I passed - like the element I had chosen - into a different state, having turned from a technical extra into a creator. But time does not stand still, its streams carried me to another part of the Motherland: the city-cradle of Russian cosmonautics - Korolev, who opened a new, unexpected horizon in my work. I began to think about water as an unearthly substance, because the elements of which it consists, hydrogen and oxygen, are one of the six most common in our universe. ... Thinking about the infinity of the universe, about its greatness and mysteries, I felt like a random guest in this unknown and boundless world of stars and planets. What are our lives? A faint shimmer in the middle of a moonless night. But before this light disappears, I must have time to capture my umwelt, my perception of the world, predetermined by my biology, my feelings, and thoughts. Space has a smell. My space smells like linseed oil. My water is oil and varnish. My paintings are an opportunity to think about what place has been prepared for us in this world, about the universe inside each of us and about the universe of which we ourselves are a part, and also about the amazing uniqueness and beauty of everyday life. Thank you for your interest!
