I have found myself gazing out windows all my life. This painting represents how I feel when I look out. When a viewer sees this painting, I hope the viewer recalls times when s/he did so, too. I chose this medium, subject matter, and style because I felt that acrylic paint on canvas would blend in a dreamy way like the memories I have of looking out a window.

I was born in Flensburg, Germany and raised in Denmark during the Second World War. I currently live in Panama City, Florida. My work has been influenced by the post war abstract expressionist movement. I prefer to work in acrylics because it dries quickly allowing me to layer color on color and to build textures on the canvas. I use bright, bold colors to reflect my joy of living. The intent of my work is for the viewer to experience happiness and the joy of life as I do.
