ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Depicting the coffee culture in and around Australia's famous Bondi Beach in a graphic inspired style. Part of the series Bondi Beach My Backyard that studied the different "Cafe-tribes" that exist in the place I live in, I observed the different type of people and wanted to capture the time and place of this iconic beach town. I play with the colours that I see and distill the essence with the black and white lines, creating a stylised vision of a poem I was given by my partner.
