Archivaldo Rozas was born in Concepción, Chile and studied painting and engraving at the School of Fine Arts in Viña del Mar. From 1973 onward, he has participated in various juried shows, exhibitions, and biennials, including various Chilean and Latin-American retrospectives. Upon immigrating to Canada in 1990, he returned to abstract painting, and has been working within these forms since. His works can be found in various international public and private collections, including the National Museum of Art in Santiago, Chile. --- Archivaldo Rozas nació en Concepción, Chile y estudió pintura y grabado en la Escuela de Bellas Artes de Viña del Mar. Desde 1973, ha expuesto sus obras en variadas exposiciones y bienales, incluyendo various retrospectivas Chilenas y Latino-Americanas. Cuando emigró a Canadá en 1990, regresó a la pintura abstracta, y ha seguido trabajando en ese modo hasta el presente. Sus obras se encuentran en varias colecciones internacionales, públicas y privadas, incluyendo el Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes en Santiago, Chile.
