Erika Vrdoljak is a painter & graphic designer. She is engaged in producing both commercial and artistic output, such as advertising, graphic design, web-design, pattern design, product design, as well as painting, graphic art, photography. Erika Vrdoljak has won a worldwide competition declared by Office of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) with her design of a logo for the particular UNHCR initiative. In the author's artistic creation, prevails abstract expressive painting, full of rich neon colors. Erika Vrdoljak’s paintings, often includes various foreign elements - adhesive tape, textiles, plastic, bringing the straightforwardness into abstraction. Erika’s inspiration comes from her roots in the village of Ptenin in the south of the Pilsen region. The images express the sincerity of life, which is often missing in modern society. From Ptenin comes also the passion for the adhesive tape, which she remembers from the childhood as the embodiment of necessary recycling of the things, in thoose harder times. In her paintings one should look for a direct, authentic side of one’s own personality. One's own Ptenin.
