I explored this subject matter on Hessian material so as to gain a vividly textured and rough-like visual of my thoughts.Hessian. more like our brains, carries a load of burden. Like a scrap board, our minds are a canvas of our continual psycho-sketches. The execution of this idea and the material it is on are similar, yet differing in that one is tangible and the intangible one, the untouchable, the thoughts are a struggle to make the twain one. Mental calculations is one my rare pieces that seeks to come to terms with what a human mind merely experiences or is actually for. It is left to the audience to identify themselves with it. I have also chosen to abstract it so that my audience may engage in it with their own mentality. This work can be held in a frame with white drawing pins with a glass over it.
