This Is a Theme taken from the CIA backed program called MK Ultra in the 50's 60's and 70's.After US Prisoners were taken by the Chinese and North Koreans during the Korean War,elements in the CIA at the time believed they were being brain washed. The prisoners were shown on video being apologetic to communism and denouncing America. So they started doing experiments in secret on Prisoners of war from WW2,in post war Germany mostly solders or Nazis from the Third Reich. They also did experiments on people in mental institutions in Canada and in the Us and volunteer inmates from American prisons. Some experiments used a variety of drugs, shock treatments and many other phycological and physiological methods which pretty much amounted to torture.Side note the program did a lot of experiments using LSD which was a relatively unknown drug at the time,in colleges around the US.This in turn launched a movement of professors and students using the drug in mass. This unintended side effect tied in with the later hippie movement and of course people becoming more cynical about their government.I can't see why? ;)
