"MM" Painting

I created that work inspired by avant-garde artists who used simple shapes to present their vision of the world. This portrait shows one of the most famous person in the world. I decomposed simple geometrical figures, which created an impression of the fragile character of her personality. Despite the deconstructed picture, we can still recognise who is in the portrait. A similar situation we observed during Marylin Monroe's life, she had many problems. However, people constantly considered her as an object of dreams. I painted that portrait using oils. However, I decided to leave pencil lines which were traces of the first sketch, giving the painting a rough character.
