My genealogy has greatly influenced my work. My ancestors (blacksmiths, weavers, spinners) seemed to have passed on to me the skills of the craft, which I turn into art. It's like the evolution of memory, the interpenetration of the past and the present. I create pictures because I live my life through physical actions. I am a very tactile person so in my works the volume of material and the warmth of the threads. Colors of paints can show only external, and threads can show internal content, sensuality. My paintings connect our origins with a new reality. They have no obligation. They give ground for thought, make you turn to feelings, get distracted from the routine.
