Madame Gruau in sultry expectation Painting

In the seventies when I was in my teens, my mother had a subscription on a beauty magazine called Pour Vous Madame. Every once in a while the cover was enhanced with an illustration made by René Gruau. They fascinated me because of their positivity, elegance and restrained beauty. My desire to become like that was a fact. I wanted to become beautiful and make a man happy. Every month I looked out for the new cover to collect. Over the years I struggled with my own visionary and artistic development and every now and then, as a consolation these images would pop up in my head and made me feel better. It was only after he passed away that the idea came up to honour him with paintings in order to keep his legacy alive for the next generations. Dear mister René Gruau, thank you for making us feel great and beautiful. The yellow color you see should be egg yellow, but this color is hard to represent through the computer. Remember egg yellow and that will give you an idea.
