Deborah Olson Ford is an emerging baby boomer artist living in Centennial, Colorado and working in the Metro Denver area. Although she has a BSBA in Business Management, her pursuit of her artistic education and natural talents have developed throughout her life. Given extensive personal tuition by many individual instructors and teachers, have refined her current work reflects a unique and refreshing perspective in style and format. Working almost exclusively with oil paint, Deborah creates paintings that aspire to touch the observer at their core and to convey a kaleidoscope of the emotional elements within her subjects. At the same time, her paintings create a certain personal transparency in observation. “It's all really about just painting what I see and experience in my life at that particular point in time.” Over the years, Deborah has been refining her art and playing with different subject matter, but always striving for realism. Inspiration developed from a love of the Renaissance and their artists, Deborah’s work reflects predominantly contemporary figurative painting, portraiture and still life. Deborah has exhibited her talents in painting and sculpting to private venues, charity organizations, as well as creating works for individual collectors. Since returning to Colorado, she is currently looking for a variety of venues that will be complementary to the style and nature of her work.
