ABOUT THE ARTWORK
acrylic and jute twine on canvas painting 8" x 8" (20.3 cm x 20.3 cm) 1.5" (3.8 cm) deep edge gallery wrapped canvas The painting is varnished with a satin finish varnish to protect it from UV rays, dust, dirt and abrasions. It is wired and ready to hang. The painting is signed on the side and back. This painting has quite a bit of texture and a lot of layers of paint. On the top portion of the painting (just right of center), some paint was peeled away to reveal a heart shape. There are small holes in the canvas where the twine was sewn into the canvas and then removed to further enhance the heart shape. Three pieces of twine remain sewn into the canvas, two pieces on one side of the heart and one piece on the other side of the heart. The heart shape and twine are visible in the photograph. A Certificate of Authenticity will be provided with this artwork.
